Our Story
Express Your Paint Parties was born out of a re-evaluation of life during the CoVid-19 Pandemic of 2020/21. Having decided to go self employed, Richard wanted a business that he believed in and was passionate about, one that was people orientated and combined his love of painting. And thus Express Yourself Paint Parties was born.
Meet the Team
Richard - Workshop Assistant & Owner
Richard has worked in retail and pubs all his working life and discovered the joy of art just three years ago. Starting with paint by numbers and quickly progressing onto tutorials Richard is the first to admit he is not the greatest artist but thoroughly enjoys it. “I find the process of creating through paint very relaxing and rewarding. It is also great for my mental well being”
Emily - Art Workshop Leader
Emily has always loved art and being creative since a young age. although her career has ventured from veterinary to marketing, arts and crafts have always been a part of her life.
During lockdown, she started her own art business and exhibited some of her work in a local gallery. Emily finds painting to be very therapeutic and rewarding and is keen to share this experience with others.

Sophie - Art Workshop Leader
Sophie is a practicing Fine Artist who enjoys painting and using art to express emotions and support wellbeing. She recently graduated from UCA and has exhibited in London and Maidstone. She has a keen interest in wildlife and depicting nature in acrylics.

Sarah - Art Workshop Leader
Throughout Sarah's life she has enjoyed drawing and painting. At 18 she gained a BTEC in Design and Display, 30 years on she is now studying for Degree in Illustration. Although her career path changed, art remained a passion, a therapy and has weaved its way into her career working within the children’s services sector. Sarah is passionate about the benefits of art and actively encourage others to explore their own creativity. Additionally her paintings have been in various exhibitions in the Essex area.
